Hello, my name is Jennifer Swan and as a registered Mental Health Social Worker and Medicare Provider, I am able to assist people with individual counselling. I am also part of the team doing ADHD assessments, pre-Psychiatry assessments and referrals. I have recently moved my practice to the Bendigo Rainbow Hub and you can book a session to meet with me online or in person. My working days are Tuesday, Wednesday (online only) Thursday and Friday 9am to 5pm (AEST). I can do sessions in person or online, so distance and mobility are not a barrier to getting support.
If you would like to make a time to meet, please contact the Bendigo Rainbow Hub. They also have other services available such as Psychiatry, Occupational Therapy, Dietitian, Speech Therapy, Gender Affirming Care GP, Nurse Practitioner, Counselling, ADHD and Autism Assessments and help with NDIS and DSP Applications.

I recognise that problems have long and complex histories, but I love to work in creative ways with folks to name and resist the undermining effects they have in our lives. The work I do builds upon the work of many folks, communities and social movements. Unfortunately, I don’t have a magic wand, but I can explore with you about your skills and knowledge about your life. I can work alongside you so that you are able to get in touch with what is important to you and the web of relationships in your life.
I work from a position that 'the problem is the problem, not the person' as a way to strengthen peoples abilities to re-negotiate their relationship with these problems. I bring warmth, humour, creativity and strive to create an atmosphere that is relaxed and comfortable. You can expect to be treated with kindness and respect and I really look forward to meeting you.
I work with folks navigating
The effects of abuses of power that are operating in our homes, families and communities.
Plurality and Dissociation. I work in ways that recognise and support people’s internal and external systems. We are Plural-affirming and open to systems who see themselves as more than one.
Untangling the impacts of Normativity so you can get the support you need and take pride in who you are in all your beautiful uniqueness.
We acknowledge the Dja Dja Wurrung people as the Traditional Custodians of the land in which we live and work. We pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and celebrate the continuing connection of the Dja Dja Wurrung people to their lands, waters, and culture. We recognise the unique place held by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the original owners and custodians of the lands and waterways across the Australian continent, with histories of continuous connection dating back more than 60,000 years.
